Reflections

After attending all the lessons so far, I have benefited and learnt a lot. During the lessons, I have been given the chance to revisit the grammar items and clarify the doubts I had. Originally, I am still unclear about the different grammar types like verb forms and verb tenses, but after the lessons, I am clearer about the usage. In addition, different types of writing, like reader responses and problem-solution essays are introduced to us. These are writing types that I have never came across of and I am glad that these were made known to us. We were given many readings regarding globalisation and they help in boosting the content of my essays. I have also improved on the organisation and structure of an essay. I am probably still lacking in my language and I will have to pay more attention to my grammar tenses and sentences structures. I will also have to read more learning journals and news articles that can help enhance my essays. For future lessons, I hope we can be introduced to more essay types.

Pertaining to the feedback given to my summary and reader response, they were very helpful in the process of editing my work and I felt that my mistakes were precisely pointed out. Some of my comments were directed at the content of my work and they helped to highlight areas I was lacking of. I had more comments on my grammar and I took more time to correct my mistakes as I was still a little unconfident. I think there is a little improvement for my marks for my reader response draft 2 but I feel that I can still improve more on my language aspect.
